The Mount Airy Main Street Association (MAMSA) is currently seeking volunteers to help implement projects as part of an overall strategy to revitalize and enhance the historic downtown Mount Airy business district.

Activities that volunteers could engage in include:

• Developing a walking tour of historic downtown Mount Airy

• Selecting, planting and watering planters to decorate the downtown with flowers throughout the summer

• Staffing information tables at various town events, such as Celebrate Summer and History 101

• Creating content and updating the Mount Airy Main Street Association website

• Developing a streetscape improvement plan for the downtown area

• Helping at the Farmers Market, Chili Cook-off, Barbeque, and A Main Street Christmas
• Join a MAMSA committee – promotion, membership, design, economic development, façade improvement.
• Researching and writing grants
• Providing financial, legal, tax, non-profit, and other critical advice
• Planning MAMSA fundraising activities.
