               Coming - The Mount Airy Tavern & Blossom and Basket Boutique

The Mount Airy Main Street Association Farmer's Market is every Wednesday from
3:30 to 6:30.

 

Mount Airy’s newest restaurant, the Mount Airy Tavern, and Blossom and Basket Boutique will be at the market on August 11th.  The Tavern will perform a cooking demonstration. Rene from Blossom and Basket Boutique will be doing flower arranging.   Last year there were several lucky people to get a beautiful flower arrangement to take home

  

Farmers will have their freshly picked seasonal fruits and vegetables.  For the month of August look for onions, squash, beets, broccoli, kale, peaches, corn, cauliflower, white/red
potatoes, and tomatoes.  Don't forget the eggs, coffee, flowers and baked goods.   George's Snow cones will help relieve the heat!


The market takes place in the Mt. Airy Municipal Parking Lot located at the corner of
Park Ave. and Veteran's Lane.  Look for the signs around downtown Mount Airy directing you to the market.  The market runs through September 29th.

Mount Airy Farmers Market
Welcomes Back Kathryn's Way Farm

Mount Airy Farmers Market welcomes back Kathryn's Way Farm with her beef.  Kathryn's Way Farm will be coming to the market every other week starting June 16th, so mark your calendar to pick up your fresh and local beef.  Her beef is grass fed and was a big hit last year at the market.  So come get your beef for dinner, produce, eggs, breads, baked goods, honey, coffee, and seasonal plants and herbs.  Evie will have snow cones this year.

Need a quick dinner on Wednesday?  

Need a quick dinner on Wednesday?  Come to the Mt. Airy Farmers Market and get a delicious crepe from Ruben’s Crepes.  Mount Airy Farmers Market welcomes back Ruben's Crepes.  There's a large variety including fruit crepes with apples and strawberries, eggs with bacon, tomatoes and cheese.  There are Mexican varieties with chicken jalapeno peppers and ranchito sauce.  In all, Ruben’s offers 18 different crepes to choose from, so come to the market and pick up dinner.

State Farm will conduct a child care seat safety check
 at the Mt. Airy Farmer’s Market June 30th


On June 30th Start Farm Insurance Company will conduct a child car safety check.  Have the experts check to make sure your child's car seat is properly installed.  They will also hand out information on insurance and tips on child safety.

 

While visiting the market, check out the new farmers and have a cup of coffee, a gourmet cupcake, pies and cakes or a crepe and pick up some flowers for your summer table.  Check out the beginning of summer produce; pick up some eggs for egg salad and bread and jelly and jams for breakfasts.  The market is now offering Snow Cones by Evie. If you haven't had a chance to get your herbs or seasonal plants, check out the market.  Don't forget the honey for some light salad dressings.
